Manuel Rey Area


I am a PhD candidate at the University of Bath under the supervision of Christian Richardt. I'm interested in virtual reality, 3D reconstruction and computational imaging. During the summer of 2022 I worked with Rodrigo Ortiz Cayón at Fyusion.

I received my MSc in Computer Vision from the Autonomous University of Barcelona supervised by Javier Ruiz Hidalgo. I did my thesis on whale detection working with WWF under an ESA summer programme.

I completed my Bachelors in Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Vigo with Julio Martín Herrero.
